The terms of the work
RECO Roofing Inc. is a family-owned roofing contractor licensed under CSLB #1070762, serving the Central Valley and Bay Area from Tracy, CA. These terms apply to every inspection, quote, and roofing project we perform.
1. Acceptance of terms
By requesting an inspection, accepting a quote, or scheduling work with RECO Roofing Inc. ("RECO," "we," "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not proceed with booking or work. These terms apply to residential, commercial, and new construction roofing services we provide throughout the Central Valley and Bay Area, California.
2. Our services
RECO provides free roof inspections, roof repair, roof replacement, roof maintenance, commercial and warehouse repairs, full commercial replacements, free commercial roof inspections, and new construction roofing. We work with the City of Tracy and serve as a preferred contractor for public works maintenance on buildings. Every quote is itemized and the price we quote is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons.
3. Free inspections & quotes
Inspections are free of charge and carry no obligation. After an inspection, we provide an itemized written quote detailing the scope of work, materials, and cost. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. A quote is not a contract; work begins only after a signed agreement and, where required, a deposit is received.
4. Estimates & change orders
Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Once work begins, concealed conditions (rotted decking, hidden damage, code issues) may require additional work beyond the original scope. Any change to the agreed scope is documented in a written change order with a clear price before that work is performed. No extra work is billed without your approval.
5. Scheduling & access
We schedule around weather and confirm your start date before we ever put a ladder up. You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the roof and property, including clearing the work area of vehicles and fragile items. Most single-family residential replacements are completed in 1–3 days; larger or commercial jobs vary and will be communicated in your quote.
6. Payment terms
Payment terms are outlined in your signed agreement. A deposit may be required to schedule and order materials. For larger jobs, progress payments may be structured by milestone. Final payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed. RECO is licensed, bonded, and insured under CSLB #1070762, and all payment terms comply with California Contractors State License Law.
7. Warranties
Every job carries a workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's material warranty. Workmanship warranty terms are specified in your signed agreement. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the terms of the material manufacturer. If something we installed fails within the warranty period, we come back and make it right. That is the whole policy.
8. Insurance claims
We document damage with photos during your free inspection and provide the reports your insurer needs. We do not guarantee the outcome of any insurance claim, and approval or payment is determined solely by your insurance carrier. We will walk you through the claim process honestly, including when a claim is not worth filing.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RECO Roofing Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from roofing services. Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the work performed. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage not caused by our work.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled inspection or quote request at any time before work begins without penalty. If work has been scheduled and materials ordered, cancellation terms are governed by your signed agreement and applicable California law. We reserve the right to decline or terminate services for non-payment, unsafe conditions, or conduct toward our crew.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from our services shall be resolved in the courts of the county in which the work was performed, unless otherwise required by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
